Today finds me watching Mama Mia! with, in fact, my mom. It is a wonderful, beautiful thing. Not the movie, but simply the joyful connection between she and I. It is a relationship which has weathered transformations and challenges which would render the average person hidden under a rock and in therapy for eighty years. (Fortunately, for me it only took a few!)
She is one of the greatest people I'll ever know. However, even more amazing is the flow of the Spirit between us which has sustained us through the roles of mother/child, nurse/patient and friend to friend. The Spirit sustains us and celebrates us. It lifts us up and brings us through. All through the ebb and tide of life the Spirit leads and encourages, empowers and loves.
Here you will find a sneak peek not only into my work, but into my life as well. I hope you enjoy the Spirit of this blog. May it bring us together.
Right now, it's back to Mama Mia! with one of the best people we ever get a chance to know. Maybe you should call yours? Whether by phone or prayer, their ear would love to hear from you.
